Longtime Utica Rotarian Linda Allen announced that she will be stepping down as Chair of the Case Scholarship Committee. Linda has been an avid supporter of the District 7150 Youth Exchange Program for many years. Linda and her family served as one of the first Host Families for the Program and continued her involvement by chairing the Case Scholarship.
As Chair of the Case Scholarship Committee, Linda spent many hours reviewing the applications of District 7150 Outbound Students for a scholarship to help defray the cost of the program. Linda contacted references, reviewed high school transcripts and spoke to teachers and former exchange students to help steer the Committee to a decision.
The Case Scholarship was established by Dr. Clark and Ruth Case, fellow Utica Rotarians and friends of Linda. The funds earn interest every year, and the interest is used to provide a source of scholarship awards to outstanding Outbound students.
Linda has now retired and moved out of New York State. The District 7150 Youth Exchange Committee is forever indebted to Linda and her multiple efforts to make our District’s Youth Exchange program a success.
